Emily’s Experience

Black and white photo of the Hawthorne Hotel, a multi-story brick building with arched windows and striped awnings on the ground level, located on a street corner with trees and parked cars nearby.

My career took root at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem MA, where I immersed myself in the world of hospitality, quickly finding my calling in events. Over five years, I got glimpses into intimate gatherings and large-scale events for contracted clients like the Peabody Essex Museum. I began to develop a deep understanding of what it takes to bring people together with intention and care.

Next in my journey, I worked at Vinwood Caterers, where I worked catering behind the scenes at countless North Shore venues. Here, I refined my skills in logistics and service, learning how thoughtful catering and flawless execution are vital to successful events.

All of my hands-on experience over the past 9 years have been elevated by my degree in Fashion Merchandising. While studying, I sharpened my creative instincts and eye for detail—something I now bring to every wedding I plans. My planning process combines my logistical background with my passion for helping couples build cohesive, personal aesthetics.

Now, as I begins my second season as a wedding planner at Connemara House Farm, I draw on my experience to support my clients with empathy, insight, and confidence—making the planning process feel as special as the celebration itself.
